Congressional Baseball Game (2014)

The Democrats won 15-6 in a game cut short an inning by inclement weather. The Dems have won the last 6 games.
Starting pitcher Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-LA) pitched the entire game. The games only female, Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-CA) got a clean hit late in the game.

Linda Sanchez (D-CA-39) wears number IX commemorating Title IX, a portion of the Education Amendments of 1972 which reads "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance." Sanchez, the only female participant in the game, would later hit a clean single.
