DC shadow Senator Michael Brown (center in black suit) was one of three arrested in an act of civil disobedience during a protest outside the Hart Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill in Washington DC on April 15, 2011. Brown joined a youth day Tax Protest targeting Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) who earlier in a budget deal with Republicans put restrictions on the District's ability to fund abortions providers. Also participating in the protest were DC Vote, an educational and advocacy organization dedicated to securing full voting representation in Congress and full democracy for the residents of the District of Columbia. Others arrested with Brown identified themselves as Adam Eidinger and Bob Johnsen.
