Navy Memorial - Sailor of the Year Pinning Ceremony (2011)

The 2010 Sailor of the Year winners were meritoriously advanced to the rank of chief petty officer during a ceremony held at the Navy Memorial May 19.
Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Gary Roughead was the guest speaker at the pinning ceremony hosted by Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON)(SS/SW) Rick D. West.
Aircrew Survival Equipmentman 1st Class Amy Davis, U.S. Fleet Forces Sea Sailor of the Year; Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Andrew Jenkins, U.S. Pacific Fleet Sea Sailor of the Year; Naval Air Crewman (Mechanical) 1st Class James Henson, Navy Reserve Sailor of the Year; and Construction Electrician 1st Class Leonardo Calderon, Chief of Naval Operations Shore Sailor of the Year were each presented their Chief Petty Officer appointment letter from the CNO prior to having their anchors pinned to their collars and combination covers placed on their heads.
