On the 50th anniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy, mourners assembled at the gravesite of the 35th President at Arlington National Cemetery. He is buried there with his wife, Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis, alongside other family members including brothers Robert and Edward Kennedy. Visitors left flowers, letters and prayers. Many of those in attendance were old enough to remember precisely where they were when they heard the news of the assassination.
