The "Big Pig" participated in the Chinese New Year Parade in Washington D.C. Thousands turned out to welcome the Chinese Lunar Year of the Pig with a colorful parade on Sunday, February 10, 2019 featuring Chinese lion and dragon dances, musical performances, youth groups, firecrackers and beauty queens. In Chinese astrology, each year is related to a Chinese zodiac animal according to a 12-year cycle. The Pig is the twelfth zodiac animal.
