Survivor Henry Flescher (89) shows off his tatoo. During the Holocaust, concentration camp prisoners received tatoos only at one location, the Auschwitz concentration camp complex.
He was born in Vienna Austria and initially escaped to France where he was eventually interred in Drancy deportation camp, a place where Jews, Gypsies, and others were held before being shipped to the German concentration camps. On the matter of the Vichy French, Henry simply says "Petain gave me to Eichmann". (photo by Jeff Malet)
