Naval District Washington commemorated Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day with a wreath laying ceremony with the Navy Band and Ceremonial Guard, and Pearl Harbor survivor former CPO Frank McCauley Ruby (age 99) at the United States Navy Memorial in Washington D.C.on Dec. 7, 2016. The ceremony marked the 75th anniversary of the attacks that led the U.S. into joining World War II. Guest speaker was U.S. Navy Memorial Treasurer and President Emeritus, RADM Ted Walker who witnessed the 1941 battle as a 9-year old boy. Rear Adm.
