On Tuesday December 7th, 2010, the Navy Memorial located in Washington DC honored the memory of the 69th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. At 1:00 P.M., the Navy Memorial held a wreathlaying ceremony outside on the plaza in memoriam of the attacks with the following speakers and survivors in attendance. 88-year old Pearl Harbor survivor Frank Yarnick, Sr. took part in 10 major battles in the Pacific. The "Lone Sailor" statue of the US Navy Memorial in rear.
Rear Adm. Patrick Lorge, U.S. Navy, Commandant of Naval District Washington, and Rear Adm. Kleber Masterson, USN (Ret.) laid a wreath at the foot of The Lone Sailor statue in remembrance of those who died on December 7, 1941.
