Taxation Without Representation once again is the slogan. DC shadow Senator Michael Brown was one of three arrested in an act of civil disobedience during a protest outside the Hart Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill in Washington DC on April 15, 2011. Brown joined a youth day Tax Protest targeting Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) who earlier in a budget deal with Republicans put restrictions on the District's ability to fund abortions providers. Also participating in the protest were DC Vote, an educational and advocacy organization dedicated to securing full voting representation in Congress and full democracy for the residents of the District of Columbia. The flag of the District of Columbia consists of three red stars above two red bars on a white background. It is based on the design of the coat of arms of George Washington. (Photo by Jeff Malet)
