(Verizon Center, Washington DC 2-6-10) 10,000 screaming fans braved blizzard conditions to cheer on as the 7th ranked Georgetown Hoyas cruised to a 103-90 win over the 2nd ranked Villanova Wildcats, handing the visitors only their 2nd loss of the season. The Hoyas stormed to a 23 point lead late in the first half. Villanova fought back to a 10 point deficit with 5 minutes to play but could come no closer. Austin Freeman led all scorers with a cool 25 points. Jason Clark added 24 points which was a career high. Greg Monroe played his usual balanced game with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The Hoyas converted 56% of their field goal attempts and went 10 for 19 from three point range. The win evens the season series between the two teams at one win each.
