The Pulitzer Prize board lauded Ganim and the newspaper for “courageously revealing and adeptly covering the explosive Penn State sex scandal involving former football coach Jerry Sandusky.” In March 2011, Ganim broke the news that Sandusky, a former Penn State assistant football coach, was under investigation for alleged child sexual abuse.
It’s the first Pulitzer Prize for the news organization, which was founded in 1854.

Ginnifer Goodwin, is an American television and film actress. She is best known for her role as Margene Heffman on Big Love, and for her roles in films like Mona Lisa Smile , Something Borrowed and He's Just Not That into You. She currently has a lead role in the ABC series Once Upon a Time.

Omar Hashim Epps is an American actor, singer, songwriter, and record producer.His film roles include Major League II, Juice, Higher Learning, Scream 2, The Wood, In Too Deep, and Love and Basketball. Epps' television work includes the role of Dr. Dennis Gant on the US medical drama series ER, and since 2004 Dr. Eric Foreman on the Fox medical drama series House. Epps is the only main cast member of House to have appeared on both ER and the aforementioned series.
