Jones pointed out that the mainstream position in America is that rather than looking first to raid programs like Medicaid, we should consider wealthy people part of this country and look to them to help shoulder the burden. The rally to "Save the American Dream" was organized to tell Democrats to stand strong against Republican debt ceiling proposals that cut Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid while keeping keep tax breaks for millionaires, billionaires and oil companies.
