It was announced after the Dalai Lama stepped down from his political role that a new "Kalon Tripa" or prime minister exile would be selected through elections at the end of April. Welps, the election results are out and the new political leader for the Tibetan government in exile is Harvard-educated Lobsang Sangay. Sangay (he's never ever been to Tibet) was the first Tibetan to ever attend Harvard Law School and was a Fulbright Scholar in 1995. His doctoral dissertation was entitled, “Democracy in Distress: Is Exile Polity a Remedy? A Case Study of Tibet’s Government in Exile.”
