The 50th Annual Congressional Baseball Game was played on July 14, 2011 at Nationals Park in Washington DC. Congressional Democrats won handily, 8-2 behind a fifteen hit attack and a one-hitter from Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-LA). Richmond pitched 5 hitless innings of the 7 inning game. Ticket proceeds from this year's game raised money for The Washington Literacy Council and The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington.
