9/11 Demolition Supervisor John Feal is President and Founder of FealGood Foundation. The primary mission of the FealGood Foundation, a non-profit organization, is to spread awareness and educate the public about the catastrophic health effects on 9/11 first responders, as well as to provide assistance to relieve these great heroes of the financial burdens placed on them over the last eight years. A secondary goal of the Foundation is to create a network of advocacy on 9/11 healthcare issues.
First Responders to the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 joined Congressional Democrats for a news conference urging the Senate to pass a bill that would pay for their medical needs. Congressional members participating were Senators Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Robert Menendez (D-NJ) and Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) as well as House Representatives Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) and Jerrold Nadler (D-NY). December 21, 2010 in Washington DC. In the final vote of the 111th Congress the next day, House lawmakers overwhelmingly passed the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act.
