Evan Thomas speaks at the National Book Festival. Thomas has been the assistant managing editor of Newsweek since 1991. He is a frequent guest on Washington-based public affairs television programs such as “Inside Washington.” Thomas is the best-selling author of seven works of nonfiction: “Sea of Thunder,” “John Paul Jones,” “Robert Kennedy,” “The Very Best Men,” “The Man to See,” “The Wise Men” and his latest, “The War Lovers: Roosevelt, Lodge, Hearst and the Rush to Empire” (Little Brown).
